First Addition is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Lake Oswego, Oregon, dating back to the late 1800s. Tucked behind picket fences and brilliantly colored flowers, you’ll find an architectural A to Z of home styles — everything from Craftsman and Colonial Revival to Gothic, Vernacular and English Cottage. It’s a vibrant mix of neighbors, ranging from young families to retirees, with home prices running the gamut from modest to million-plus. Whether you are a newcomer or a long-timer, First Addition is a wonderful place to call home.

First Addition was originally created in 1888 to house workers from the Oregon Iron and Steel Company. The discovery of iron ore deposits nearby fueled almost 30 years of iron smelting in the area.
