What makes First Addition special?
First Addition was green back when green was a color, not a movement. Nearly all services are within walking distance, including shops, markets, businesses, offices, banks, restaurants and churches. Not to mention the main library and a neighborhood grade school. A nearby Tri-Met bus center connects to downtown Portland and there’s easy access to I-5 and other major arterials.
Walkability is key to the First Addition’s ‘green’charm. Neighborhood parks, a locally owned movie theater and the weekly farmer’s market are all within walking distance. Tryon Creek State Park is a stone’s throw away, featuring a wealth of walking, biking and horse trails, as well as a visitor’s center. For those 55 and older, the Adult Community Center offers a full slate of activities and services. The Lake Oswego arts scene is alive and well, led by the “Gallery Without Walls” outdoor art program.
